The Villa, Sotogrande, Valderrama

Sotogrande Villa is one of a group of luxury villas constructed within the scenic Valgrande guarded urbanisation, situated immediately opposite the prestigious Valderrama golf club. Each villa comprises five apartments, of which ours is on the ground floor. There is underground parking with a lift, thus giving access for the disabled.

Our apartment is very spacious, being approximately 200 sq.m or 2200 sqf. It has been elegantly furnished to a very high specification and is fitted with full air conditioning with controls in each room plus under floor heating for the winter months.

The three double bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms and large fitted wardrobes. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, conventional oven, dishwasher and an American style fridge freezer with an automatic ice maker. The washing machine and dryer are in a separate utility room.

The sitting room is equipped with an audio system and satellite TV. A separate dining area seats six. Two large sofas, chosen for comfort, are positioned round the open fire place and sliding doors lead out onto the large terrace. Here, there are two couches and two arm chairs with a separate dining area, again seating six.

From the terrace there are distant views of the Almenara golf course and in the foreground there is a small lake which is fed by a stream that meanders down through ancient cork trees and then on through a wooded gorge.

There is a spectacular communal swimming pool cascading down to the maturely planted gardens. There are plenty of sun loungers on the surrounding terraces and lawns. In addition, there is a shallow pool for young children.

Within the grounds of Valgrande is a separate Wellness Centre equipped with exercise machines. There is also some muscle strengthening equipment. The indoor exercise pool is excellent and ideal for proper lane style swimming exercise. Beside the pool is a jacuzzi hot tub. Separate changing rooms with lockers for your personal items are located at the wellness centre. Complimenting the wellness centre is a small terrace with loungers, loungers can also be located beside the pool, inside away from the sun.

Undercover parking for one car is available in the basement, the garage door is automatically operated with an electronic key. There is space for a golf buggy should you have one. In addition there is a secure storeroom for bulky items such as your golf clubs, surf boards and mountain bikes.
